CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

•Cradle Roll
A child is added to the Cradle Roll when he/she is born into our church, adopted, baptized, or when his/her parent(s) join the church. A rosebud is placed on the altar to announce the birth, and parents receive a birth packet of information. Each year on the child’s birthday, they receive a birthday card.

•Church School
Sunday School is held at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings. Classes are held for youth ages preschool through ninth grade.

•Rally Sunday
Church School classes resume on the second Sunday in September. A special theme gets the season off to a start, and the entire congregation is invited to attend a Pig Roast following morning worship.

Praise Our People Sing (POPS)
Meeting on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:00 p.m. from October through April, POPS is a fun, faith-filled group open to ages preschool through sixth grade. This youth fellowship is a time of faith discovery through singing, Bible stories and lessons, and craft projects. Older youth and parents are invited to attend and assist with these activities.

•Vacation Bible School

•Camping
Pilgrim Point is our Minnesota UCC camp. It is located on Lake Ida near Alexandria. Each spring, a schedule is available listing all of the summer camps. Many youth attend camp as well as adults and families.

•Family Fun
The Board of Christian Education organizes special events throughout the year for the entire family to enjoy. In the past, events have included such activities as family camping, scavenger hunts, a Halloween “Spooktacular,” bowling, skiing, a pajama party, Easter “Eggstravaganza,” and Christmas Cheer.

•Youth Group
The senior high youth group meets together for fellowship, spiritual growth, and just plain fun. Although small in numbers, the group is growing in relationships. They look forward to service projects, mission experiences, and developing youth identity as Christ’s followers.

•Adult Christian Education
Sponsored by Circle II, a Bible Study group meets each Wednesday from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the Cambridge Room.

•Library
The library is located next to the church office and is available for use by all. It is open from 9:00-11:30 a.m. every Sunday morning. It includes books specifically related to Bible study, research, and world religions. Please use the sign-out sheet for books removed from the library.
