There are extra materials on the table at the back of the sanctuary. Thank you so much. -Stewardship Committee
Please bring your 2013 Financial Pledge Up to Date—There are only a few weeks remaining in the Church year. If you would like a copy of your giving state-ment to date to see where you stand, just call the Church office and one can be prepared for you. Thank you for your ongoing support. –The Church Council
Spaghetti Dinner Report: Special thanks to the Spaghetti Dinner team!!
Together we have added $4,735.01 to our operating funds for our beautiful Church! We could actually reach the $5,000 level when all monies are received and deposited! What a team effort! Ticket Sales $2,854.00; Bake sale $586.60; Silent Auction $1,990.00; for a gross total of $5,430.60. Expenses were $695.59; net profit $4,735.01. And then we have the Ladies to thank for their labor in selling Herberger’s Books! We sold a total of 196 books for $980. Again, there is the possibility of some late sales putting us over the $1,000 goal, and the check from the Bon Ton stores yet to come! Are our Facilities and Board of Administration committees ever appreciative of both efforts to pay the bills!!! The funds couldn’t come at a better time to help fulfill our commitments! Thanks to all of our Church Family. What a family to be part of and proud of!! You know we work together very well! -Kathryn LeBrasseur
Possible Discussion Group? A group of people have expressed interest in dis-cussing information presented by Bruce Sanguin at the symposium held at the Methodist Church. A few people from our Church attended sessions on “Engaging the Scriptures” and would like to explore some of his thoughts further. We may even think about getting into one of his books. We’ve decided to try getting together for the first time on Sun, December 1st, at 5:00 pm for an hour or so. This is also open to those who were unable to attend, but are interested in learning more as well. Contact Barb Brown (763-3101) if interested as soon as possible.
Tech School Bingo Report: A donation is only successful if it fits the need! Thank you to our Church family and friends. God has blessed us with the means to help the students attending Alexandria Technical Community College again this year. Your donations to the Bountiful Basked in September and October filled 12 huge grocery bags and 15 small grab bags. Money went to purchase 2-$10 gas cards, and for the first time, tickets to our Spaghetti Dinner were given as prizes. On Wednesday, November 13th, at 5:30 pm, with 66 students present in the café, Michelle Ahlquist called out bingo numbers to a happy and lively group. Clayton took photos, and Justin Dathe received the warm quilt donated by Friendly Service as the final prize. We collected thank yous from the students to pass on to all of you. We are not done! The need continues each day! As the holidays approach, you can help by donating gift and gas cards. The cards can be new ones you buy or existing ones you have with remaining balances. Let’s give until our hearts feel good and God smiles down on us! Merry Christmas! -Julie Hjelm, Missions Com.
P.S. At our Spaghetti Dinner, I thanked God as I noticed students from ATCC eating with us. Thank you for your donated tickets.
