“Tree of Lights”— Generous gifts to our annual “Tree of Lights” so far this season have amounted to $954. We have designated the “Kindergarten Milk Break” program as our mission focus this season. Our goal is to raise $1,500 which would provide milk for our kindergarteners in Alexandria School District 206 for a year. Our “Tree of Lights” will be up into the season of Epiphany. Thank you for your generosity. -Spiritual Life Board

Offering Envelope Packets for 2014 are available at the back of the sanctuary. Please sign your name on the sign-out sheet next to the number of the packet you take so our Financial Secretary can keep accurate records. Thank you!
The Angels responsible for visiting those hospitalized or experiencing loss and delivering care blankets in January are JoAnne Norling (763-6703) and Romayne Strand (846-5031). Thank you, Angel Care Team!
A Needs Assessment Survey was included in the January issue of the VISITOR. This gives you the opportunity to provide valuable feedback to the Church Council of the things you would like to see the Church doing. There are extra copies at the back of the sanctuary. We really appreciate your time in completing the survey. Thank you! -New Horizons Task Force
Saturday, January 25th: There is a Powerlifting competition on Saturday, January 25th, and our own father-daughter team of Steve and Misha Harstad are competing. Spectators welcome! It is taking place at Noonan’s Sports Center, 503 Hawthorne.
Ushers and Lay Leaders needed for February! A sign-up sheet is on the large poster at the back of the sanctuary. Thank you! -Worship Committee
Newsletter Update! We will be trying an experiment for the February issue. In an effort to extend the life of the printer/copier in the Church office, to save money on toner, and to relieve some of the backlog caused by printing the monthly newsletter in-house (it takes about 2 days to print), we will be sending the final document electronically to Office Max on Friday, January 24th. That means that all items for the February issue of the VISITOR must be in the Church office no later than tomorrow, Monday, January 20th, in order to be included in the February issue. It will be “full steam ahead” to get it prepared that week. Thank you for helping to keep our communication line open. -Barb, office
